KAERI and Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research(KU) signed on Wednesday the 9th of November 2011 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen technical cooperation  between both organizations. The signing of the MoU was attended by Dr. Tod Laursen, Khalifa University President, and Mr. Philip Beeley, Program Manager for Nuclear Engineering who visited KAERI and Dr. Youn Ho JUNG, KAERI President and other staffs.   

The MoU signed by Dr. Y. H. Jung, KAERI president and Dr. Tod Laursen, Khalifa university President, shows the common commitment of KAERI and Khalifa University to strengthen bilateral cooperation in research area of "Nuclear System Design and Safety Analysis". Under the MOU, both sides agreed to share technical reports, experimental data, etc. which will contribute towards fostering UAE nuclear manpower development program. The MOU signed today with KU signifies another strategic partnership which will enhance KU��s research capabilities in nuclear safety. Dr. Jung expressed his hope that the MOU signing would provide a significant momentum for the Khalifa University's capability in nuclear safety area would be further strengthened.
