HANARO, High-flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor

    • Production of Ir-192 for nondestructive testing: more than 95% of testing demand in Korea
    • Production of I-131 for medical use: approximately 70% of demand in Korea
  • Production of semiconductors using neutron doping method

    About 20% of global production (in 2012)

  • Analysis of microelements: Some 2,000 samples per year
  • Nuclear fuel irradiation test: dual-cooled annular fuel, advanced PWR fuel, U-Mo nuclear fuel, etc.
