The Center for Quantum Beam-based Radiation research (QRC),which is recognized as the 4th “World Class Institute(WCI)”Center,was officially established at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute(KAERI) on September 23, 2011.

The QRC is an open and advanced global research center for developing cutting-edge radiation and application technologies based on ultra-short lasers and advanced accelerators.

The main fields of QRC are the development of new radiation sources, based on advanced accelerator technologies, and their application while GRC’s goal is to develop innovative tools necessary to identify principles of unknown science and also easy access to

The QRC is open to domestic and international collaborations so that it can be utilized to the maximum for the world-leading researchers on advanced radiation and its applications.
